As part of Bless Your Heart Music, LLC – an entertainment company, Bless Your Heart Music Publishing is a unique and interactive part of the organization. Publishing has long been thought of as either strictly an administrative task, tracking who is recording what song and collecting mechanicals or, unfortunately, a way that large music industry corporations have once again absorbed the rights of the individual artist and songwriter. BYHM approaches publishing as an integrated part of the catalog and career of the artist. Rather than creating “new” entities we have combined the publishing skills, licenses and expertise of our collective organization and will handle not only the administration but the sales and marketing of tunes in two ways.

BYHM ‘Hot Tunes’ Catalog:
A limited collection of songs, prepared and recorded as demos, that are actively being carried by our Creative Officers (“pluggers”) to an established and prestigious group of buyers including but not limited to artists, producers, record labels and screenwriters. The songwriters may or may not be
BYHM Artists. These songs are
acquired as single song contracts and compensation is specific to the composer and the product.
Artist Catalog: All artists, while they are being supported by BYHM, participate in the benefits of our collapsed copyright structure which allows BYHM to exploit the artist’s work to promote the project and to the endorse the artist’s over all career without the rigueur of multiple contracts and the dividing and subdividing or parts of various licenses, rights and ownership. A single agreement with various scheduled titles identified covers all usage and profitable exploitation of the artist’s catalog with songwriter rights remaining with the artist. Administration and sales are included for the catalog; costs such as demo production are split 50/50 as recoupables from royalties.

Jerry “Wyzard” Seay is a world renowned bassist playing with artist from Stevie Nicks to Afro-Plane. He has collaborated with artists such as Vernon Reid, Tom Petty and Sting, composed for Guitar Shorty, and is the driving force behind Mother’s Finest. A member of Carl Carlton’s Song Dogs he has also recorded with Vinx, Blackfoot and other rock greats. His production credits range from Nina Peeples and “Walker, Texas Ranger” to Blues Association’s Best Contemporary CD for 2007, Guitar Shorty’s “We the People.” His musical influence ranges from rock to funk to rap to blues to world music. He cannot be, nor should he be classified, except as an amazing artist. His first solo effort
“Primal Incantation” to be released in 2008 is a fusion of genre and sound revealing the many facets of Wyzard’s musicianship. It is fun, funk and feeling!

Lance Cowan
A renowned songwriter as well as publicist, Lance wears many hats for
Bless Your Heart Music but none more important then as a composer. Lance is an acclaimed songwriter whose songs have been recorded and performed by artists like Joan Baez, Janis Ian and Dave Mallett. His songs are melodic, heartfelt and haunting. Five of his compositions are currently in the
BYHM “Hot Tunes” catalog.
Robert Kirkland
Songwriter and musician, Robert Kirkland has been a legend in the North Carolina pop and rock scene since he and Don Dixon started the band Arrogance in 1970. True to its name,
Arrogance blazed a trail in NC and pop music by playing original material rather than covers, and in not following conventional music industry formulas. It has been said that they “could knock you down, not with volume but with sheer intelligence and taste” and much of that tasty music was, and still is, penned by Robert Kirkland. After the demise of
Arrogance in the early 1980s, Robert started Kick the Future and released one LP. He still composes and plays with both bands. Several of his tunes are in
BYHM “Hot Tunes” catalog.
David Wyatt
Songwriter, artist, musician, vocalist, David adds his Southern rock wisdom to Bless Your Heart Music Publishing's catalog. Rock tunes and ballads filled with heart and solid melody, David’s songs always make the listener feel. Cornerstone of the band Kickstand Cowboy, David performs many of his own compositions and collaborates with other members of the band. David’s music reflects his belief “Live, learn and change”. Several of his compositions are currently in the
BYHM “Hot Tunes” catalog.
*Second Sight Management, LLC, handles the project management, A&R, scheduling, contract negotiations, vendor relations, promotion and product alignment for the various street university artists’ endeavors, missions, projects and career goals.
Headed up by Carlean Moser, Second Sight Management offers a broad range of skill, experience and insight in the two business arenas with which it is involved – Business Analysis and Music.
Although they may sound divergent there are many similarities in the processes necessary to deliver a project for an Information Technology project or a properly supported and distributed recording.
